Irene is a qualified chartered accountant who joined BeST in April 2019.

Irene started her career and qualified in practice, working with owner-managed and listed businesses before moving into the industry. During her career, she has held several senior finance positions in businesses, including BAE Systems and Alliance & Leicester (Santander), before becoming Finance Director in an owner-managed leasing business.

Irene brings her commercial finance experience gained in listed, regulated businesses to BeST. This has resulted in greater financial understanding and control within the Charity.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Irene has lived in Manchester for over 25 years, having also lived in Liverpool and Cheshire.
