Our skilled and experienced Board of five Trustees provides the leadership, strategic direction, and scrutiny to ensure that BeST delivers its objectives, achieves and maintains compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, and remains viable. BeST is regulated by the Regulator for Social Housing (RSH), who ensures we are meeting its consumer, governance, and financial standards.

As part of its commitment to best practice, the Board has adopted the National Housing Federation’s Code of Governance. The Board is responsible for the effective governance of the business and meets on a regular basis to review delivery against our strategy, action plans for improvement and change, and to monitor performance against agreed standards. Day-to-day management is delegated to the executive officers and staff.
